Holden Hoffsis was arrested and charged with First Degree Murder, Third Degree Murder, and related offenses for allegedly shooting 21-year-old Daniel Gray in the chest during an argument early in the morning, according to the Chester County District Attorney’s Office and Schuylkill Township Police Department.

Police were dispatched to a residence on Westhorpe Lane at approximately 3:27 a.m. after receiving a report of a shooting. Investigators determined that the argument, which led to Gray’s death, stemmed from a disagreement related to a video game. Authorities also discovered marijuana, drug packaging materials in Hoffsis’s room, and a bag of suspected cocaine in his possession. A silver revolver was recovered at the scene.

“This case is another sad example of how the mix of drugs and guns leads to violence and death,” Chester County District Attorney Christopher de Barrena-Sarobe said.

Schuylkill Township Police Chief William Fitzsimons expressed gratitude for the collaborative efforts of law enforcement, stating, “I am grateful for the assistance of the Chester County Detectives and the District Attorney’s Office. Together we will get justice for the victim and his family.”

Hoffsis is currently being held at the Chester County Prison without bail. Deputy District Attorney Nicole Morley has been assigned to prosecute the case.

Authorities emphasized that this is an isolated incident and that there is no danger to the community. Anyone with information about the case is urged to contact Chester County Detectives at 610-344-6866 or the Schuylkill Township Police Department at 610-933-5820.
